How can we help? 👋

Why did we remove the Inbox section?

Using buttons instead of inbox page

In the latest version of Content OS, we have made some improvements. Now, instead of using the inbox page, we use buttons to make it easier and faster to add new content ideas. This is mainly because reviewing the inbox page with content across platforms is overwhelming, and we find it provides more focus to review content for each platform at a time. Hence, we also decided to remove the content tracker page because we found it more beneficial to plan within the specific channels/platforms.

If you want to add the inbox page to your Content OS, we've recorded a quick Loom video showing how to create an inbox page with the content board view:

How to Add an Inbox Page to Your Content OS Template

  1. Create a new page named "Inbox" and make it full-width.
  1. Copy the link to view the content database in the ContentOS template.
  1. Paste the link on the Inbox page and select the board view layout.
  1. Group the board view by platform or channel.
  1. Turn on colour columns and turn-off hide empty groups.
  1. Add different platforms from the platforms database.
  1. Hide the "no platform" column for easier content organisation.
  1. Add new content ideas by clicking on the plus new button.
  1. Customise the properties displayed by clicking on the three dots and accessing properties.
  1. Rename the tab view to "content" and change the icon.
  1. Utilise the inbox page to review and process newly added content.
